The WAP-4000A is also backward compatible and interoperable with compliant IEEE 802.11b/g wireless devices. Except 64/128bit WEP encryption, the WAP-4000A also integrates 802.1x authentication. Cooperating with a RADIUS server can make your wireless LAN more secure then ever. Provided with one reversed-polarity SMA male connector, the WAP-4000A is easy to connect external antenna and booster to extend the wireless distance.

Five operational modes including AP, AP Client, Point to Point Bridge ,Point to Multipoint Bridge , and AP Repeater mode widen the usage of WAP-4000A. Being a standard Wireless AP, WAP-4000A, together with any other wireless access points provides the seamless integration between Ethernet network and Wireless network and it also offers the roaming for all the Wireless mobile devices.
