With PLANET Bandwidth Manager, you can allocate and limit bandwidth to specific services which allows you to customize the use of your existing bandwidth to your specific needs. As an example, on a T1 you could guarantee availability of 512kbs for HTTP traffic while limiting FTP downloads to 128kbs, FTP uploads to 256kbs and ICMP traffic to 5kbs. You could give priority to telnet traffic so interactive sessions flow more smoothly. You could assure that critical streams always are passed immediately. But the situation always depends on what your need, so you can create a best performance by what you want it to be.

We recommend you to use Media Player12 or above version, Different DLNA players have limitation for media format support, please check the media player manual for the list of supported format.

Yes, WGT-702S20 can be used as a slide-in module to the PLANET 19" Intelligent Media Converter Chassis -- WMC-1600R. With the chassis, WGT-702S20 can be managed through the RS-232 Console, Telnet, Web, SNMP agent.

A :

No, only the WFT-series converter installs into WMC-1600R chassis then it will provide full management function, such as remote telnet or web interface, SNMP interface.

There are three ways to convert the video source. One is to use DIP switch, while the other is to set VLAN port and go with HDMI splitter (matrix).

  1. A Tx (transmitter) supports DIP switch for 16 channels, and every time when you convert the source you have to switch DIP of all units to the same number.

  1. You can set VLAN to convert the video source. Please refer to the topology below and imagine that the concept is based on your issue.

You can set up port-based VLAN for that transmitter (IHD-410PT), and then for the receiver (IHD-410PR). You can just dynamically swap the receiver port to a different VLAN for video source change. You can swap VLAN via Web interface of the switch.

      Instructions about the topology above:

As for Test A

, we set port1 and port3 to a VLAN, and set port2 and port4 to another VLAN. The Rx will convert the source if we change the connection of Rx and switch from port3 to port4.

As for Test B

, we set port1 and port3 to a VLAN, and the Rx will convert the source if we issue the command via telnet to set port2 and port3 to a VLAN.

  1. You also could use HDMI splitter (matrix) to convert the sources.

As you see, two sources connect to the input of HDMI matrix, and output to Tx, and then Tx and Rx all connect to the switch.

In this case, we use the HDMI matrix controller to select the source.
