VoIP in an acronym for Vice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), a technology that allows voice signals to be carried over the Internet. Actually a set of protocols has been specifically designed to do this, which allows people to make telephone calls via the Internet connection in stead of analog or regular phone line. VoIP is lowering costs, increasing mobility, enabling collaboration, integrating voice and data in entirely new ways, and giving businesses a competitive advantage.
