Be sure you use a "domain name\user name" when you log into the NAS-7400 using SMB, FTP, or AFP. You must use the backslash "\" character.
At the mean time, many FTP clients do not support a space in the domain name nor user name.
Also, the NAS-7400 do not support user home directory.
