[General] What is Link Pass Through?

The Link Pass Through function is a combination of two mechanisms: Link Loss Carry Forward (LLCF) and Link Loss Return (LLR). Both can immediately alert administrators to problems with the link media, and provide an efficient solution for network monitoring. Network cable problems are easily and quickly isolated to decrease link downtime. This function is supported on PLANET FT-80x Fast Ethernet Bridge Media Converter and WFT-80x, WGT-70x series Smart Media Converter.
