[Password / WSW-2400] How to deal with forgotten password problem of WSW-2400?

The Default user name and password of WSW-2400 are both "manager".
If you forget its password, you need to know its MAC address and tell us, then our RD engineer will generate a password for you.

These are the procedures to get the MAC address :

1. Connect the console port and enter the console mode.

2. Reset the switch.(power cycle)

3. Press Ctrl-C while the power on self test displays "Checking Image Bank Integrity", and the switch shell enter the boot system.

4. According to the main menu of the boot system, press "I" to enter the TCP/IP Configuration, and you may see the IP address setting.

5. Connect the switch to your PC, and open a DOS window , then type "ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to ping the switch.(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx means the IP address that you get from the boot system of the switch).

6. After finishing the ping, type "arp -a" in the DOS window to check the ARP table of the PC. Get the MAC address of the corresponding IP address of the switch from the ARP table.

7. Tell PLANET the MAC address that you get, and we will tell you the password.
