1. Different LED allocation on Fast Ethernet ports and Gigabit combo ports.
V1: 2 LEDs for Fast Ethernet ports and 3 LEDs for Gigabit combo ports.
V2: 1 LED for Fast Ethernet ports and 2 LEDs for Gigabit combo ports.
2. Check the serial number from FCC label that located on bottom of FGSW-2620VM.
Please press Reset button at front panel for 5 seconds then the FGSW-2620VM will reset to factory default mode (username and password: admin, default IP address: 192.168.0.100)
Solution:
1. Main possible reason: Recognized NOT SFP modules.
2. The SGSW-24240 series supports Dual-Speed SFP by auto-detection technology:
a. When the SFP module plug-in, the SGSW-24240 read the module information that was burn-in the SFP transceiver, to check the Speed and type of the SFP transceiver.
b. Then SGSW-24240 auto set link speed mode on the SFP port to be 1000Mbps/Full-Duplex or 100Mbps/Full Duplex base on detects result.
3. If the SFP module was not writing in the speed, wavelength and etc. information, the SGSW-24240 will identify it as UNKNOW SFP and set the link speed to 1000Mbps/Full-Duplex.
- But if it is 100Base-FX SFP without wrote in SFP speed and the SGSW-24240 set this SFP slots to 1000Mbps/Full-Duplex, then the link will failed.
- Users have to set the link speed of the SFP slot to 100Mbps/Full-Duplex manually.
4. If the SFP module was writing in wrong speed, wavelength and etc. information, the SGSW-24240 will set the link speed of the SFP slot based on detects result.
- But if it is 100Base-FX SFP with wrote in SFP speed to 1000Mbps, and the SGSW-24240 set this SFP slots to 100Mbps/Full-Duplex, then the link will failed.
- Users have to set the link speed of the SFP slot to 100Mbps/Full-Duplex manually.
Solution:
a.One of the key advantages of SGSW-24240 is that each of the SFP slot supports Dual-Speed, 1000Base-SX / LX or 100Base-FX; that means, the administrator now can flexibly choose the suitable SFP transceiver according to not only the transmission distance but also the transmission speed required.
