Check the cable connection between POE-1200P2 / POE-2400P4 and IEEE 802.3af device.
1.Please check the cable type of the connection from POE Injector Hub to the other end. The cable should be an 8-wire UTP, Category 5/5e, EIA568 cable within 100 meters. A cable with only 4-wire, short loop or over 100 meters, all will affect the power supply.
2.Please check and assure the device that fully complied with IEEE 802.3af standard.
3.The POE Injector Hub is a Mid-Span PSE device, please make sure the connected PD supports PoE power input via RJ-45 pin 4/5(+), 7/8(-). If the connected PD supports power input only from 1/2(+), 3/6(-), it will not be powered on.
Solution:
1.[Firmware version checking]
a.If there are other SGSW-24040 series in your environment already, please upgrade to the latest firmware from PLANET web site or make sure of firmware version above v1.1 for your existing SGSW-24040 series.
b.Otherwise, there could be known issue to find the correct switch model of your Stacked Switches if you plan to hardware stack them together.
c.Please visit PLANET Web site to download last F/W for SGSW-24040 series.
2.[Stack cable checking]
a.PLANET CB-STX50 or CB-STX200 cables not installed correctly (LEDs on front panel STX1 or STX2 do not light). Check that the cables are inserted correctly
b.The stack cable is PLANET proprietary stack cable, the stack cable is cross-overed HDMI-like cable, and other common HDMI cable can’t be used for the SGSW series.
