PLANET Has Been Awarded the “1.5°C Climate Label”, Ranked First in Taiwan in the Telecommunications and Networking Category

PLANET Technology, a leading provider of advanced IP networking solutions, once again received the “1.5°C Climate Label” from CommonWealth Magazine’s Temperature Rising Index for Pathways (TRIPs). This year, PLANET ranked first in the Telecommunications and Networking Category with a temperature control of 1.392°C, far better than the average of 1.713°C in the same category, demonstrating its leadership and determination in scientific carbon reduction and sustainable governance.

Since participating in CommonWealth Magazine’s “Corporate 1.5°C Forum” in 2022, PLANET has been awarded the 1.5°C Climate Label for "Excellent Grade” for two consecutive years. The award recognizes the company’s outstanding achievements in carbon management, carbon reduction planning, and science-based target setting, and also reflects its commitment to being highly aligned with the global net-zero path.

CommonWealth Magazine TRIPs is Taiwan’s only scientific verification platform that adopts the UN’s IPCC methodology. In 2025, data from over 1,200 companies were disclosed, yet only about 30% met the 1.5°C warming threshold. PLANET was among the 405 companies on the excellent list, alongside leading companies including TSMC, Foxconn, and Formosa Plastics Group, proving that Taiwanese companies are accelerating their integration into the global low-carbon economy.

Scientific Carbon Reduction Leads the Net-Zero Transformation of the Industry
Actively responding to limiting global warming to 1.5°C, PLANET implemented various sustainable actions to reduce carbon emissions and received a “B” rating, the highest score in the 2024 CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) assessment designed for SMEs worldwide.

The company has also committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to ensure that its emission reduction actions are in line with global climate goals, and has received ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Certification and ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Emissions certification through third-party verification. Simultaneously, PLANET has cooperated with supply chain partners to deepen ESG management and carbon reduction transformation, adopting a model of “Large Enterprises Leading Small Ones" to assist 11 suppliers in low-carbon and smart upgrades, and to jointly promote the industry’s sustainable development.

Jack Chen, PLANET Chairman & CEO, said, “1.5°C is not just a number, but also our commitment and responsibility to Earth. In the future, we will continue to combine innovative network technology with AI and renewable energy solutions, and work with global customers, supply chains, and industry partners to create the blueprint for achieving 2050 Net Zero Carbon Emissions.”
