PLANET Technology, a global leader in IP-based networking solutions, has long adopted “sustainable innovation” as its core strategy, actively implementing low-carbon operations and energy-saving management. PLANET was recognized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) with the “2025 Energy Saving Leadership Award.” With its AIoT Intelligent Energy Management Platform and the supply chain initiative of Large Enterprises Leading Small Ones, PLANET stood out for its exemplary energy-saving achievements, demonstrating comprehensive capabilities from equipment upgrades and intelligent management to value chain co-prosperity.
[Smart Energy Saving] AIoT Platform x Real-time Monitoring – Building Efficient Energy Management
PLANET independently developed the AIoT Intelligent Energy Management Platform, which fully monitors energy data in its laboratories and warehouse for precision equipment, and detects abnormal power usage in real time. After the platform was implemented, laboratory electricity consumption decreased by 17%, and the warehouse saved 50% electricity, with annual savings exceeding 30,000 kWh. The platform also won the “Sustainable Tech Special Award” in 2024 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award competition, becoming an innovative model for energy-saving transformation in the ICT industry.
[Equipment Upgrade] Server Virtualization x Air Conditioning Replacement – Further Enhancing Carbon Reduction
PLANET continues to promote energy-saving performance by accomplishing server virtualization that consolidated 21 physical servers into virtual machines, saving over 10,000 kWh annually. The company also replaced old central air conditioning units, achieving annual electricity savings of 60,177 kWh and reducing nearly 30 metric tons of CO₂e emissions each year.
[Low-carbon Co-prosperity] Large Enterprises Leading Small Ones x Supply Chain Guidance – Driving Sustainable Industry Upgrades
In addition to its own energy-saving innovations, PLANET actively participated in the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ subsidy program for large enterprises to lead small manufacturers in low-carbon and smart upgrade transformation, leading 11 suppliers to jointly implement energy-saving diagnostics and carbon management systems. The total electricity savings of the program reached 348,000 kWh, with carbon reductions of 973 metric tons CO₂e, helping suppliers improve process yield and energy efficiency. By spreading its “carbon handprint”, PLANET is expanding its sustainable impact and building a green supply chain where upstream and downstream partners prosper together.
[Net Zero Vision] From Energy Saving to Carbon Reduction – Moving Towards SBTi Sustainability Goals
PLANET has passed the third-party verification of both ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14067 international standards, and is expected to pass the SBTi science-based carbon reduction targets review in 2025. The company continues to strengthen green supply chain governance and Scope 3 reduction actions, taking concrete steps towards its long-term net zero transformation vision.
PLANET will continue to deepening energy-saving management and promoting supply chain collaboration through its “Structured”, “Smart” and “Shared Prosperity” strategy, making low-carbon innovation the key driving force for PLANET’s journey towards net zero, and working together with the industry to realize a sustainable future.
