Corporate APP
The part no. of PLANET converters including two parts, the type of converter and the second parts, connection type and distance. For example: FT-806A20.
The part number start with ET, FT, GT are non-managed converters for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. In the front, add a "W", means managed/smart model, such as WFT-802S15.
The part no. with different number indicates different types of connection where:
5, 7, 9 for single speed units, 8 for dual speed such as 10/100Mbps units
0 -> TP
1 -> ST
2 -> SC
3 -> MT-RJ
4 -> VF-45
5 -> LC / Small Form Factor
6 -> WDM / Single SC
For example, FT-802 for 10/100 TP to SC Fast Ethernet Converter.
The last character are for the distance such as S15, A20, for Single mode 15km, or A type (TX: 1310nm; RX:1550nm) 20km. Such as WGT-806A20.
