(Enable Querier and fill out 192.168.1.24 and select “Forced IGMPv2”.)
àCheck IGMP Snooping Status
1. Use the RJ45 to DB9 console cable to connect the RJ45 side to GPL-8000’s port marked in red as shown in the picture below,
and connect the DB9 connector to a PC.
2. Check your serial port number on the PC. Open device manager on the PC and you can see your serial port number
(e.g. the PC is using COM1)
3. Install the “Putty” tool. It is a free software, which can be downloaded from the internet.
4. Open Putty Configuration for the setup. Select the “Serial” option, and input COM1 and 9600 (Please check your serial number first.).
5. Reboot GPL-800 and enter the Monitor mode. When you see the “RTC Test” message, press Ctrl + p to enter the Monitor mode.
àWhen you see the title “monitor”, it means you are in the Monitor mode and input the command of “dir”.
For security reason you should assign a password to protect your router against hacker attacks. If you forgot the user's name and password, you can press the reset button for more than 5 seconds to reset all the settings back to factory default ( do not require user's name and password of management)
The IDL series supports the IDL Manager, an EMS (Element Management System) for monitoring and basic configuration.
Check the DNS server settings on your PC. You should get the DNS servers settings from your ISP. If your PC is running a DHCP client, remove any DNS IP address setting. As the router will assign the DNS settings to the DHCP-client-enabled PC.
The IDL-2400 and IDL-4800 are both with two 1000Base-T Uplink interfaces; otherwise the IDL-2401 and IDL-4801 are both with one 1000Base-LX and one 1000Base-T Uplink interfaces.
Please 1. Connect ADSL line and USB port to your computer first, and then install driver. 2. Check RJ-11 and USB cables. Make sure these connections are stable. 3. Check LED indicator. If modem is connected, LED indicator should be steady.
