The IDL-2400 and IDL-4800 are both with two 1000Base-T Uplink interfaces; otherwise the IDL-2401 and IDL-4801 are both with one 1000Base-LX and one 1000Base-T Uplink interfaces.
With single-pair operation, SHDSL offers 192Kbps to 2.3Mbps. Data rates are defined in increments of 8Kbps. With dual-pair operation (4-wire mode), SHDSL offers 384Kbps to 4.6Mbps. Data rates are defined in increments of 16Kbps. The line rate on both pairs must be the same.

Step 6. Open the Powerline Utility and press Scan to search all PLC at the same power loop.
Step 7. Set the name at each PL-702.
Step 8. Set Password for Each PL-702

There is a RESET BUTTON on the real panel of the device. To restore factory default settings, keep the device powered on and push a paper clip into the hole. Press down the button over 5 seconds and then release it. After resetting, the username and password will be restored to default settings admin and admin.
No, you can't. There are different hardware control codes inside these two versions. Each firmware can be used only for each model. Please double check the version before upgrading.
