Maybe the NAT router does not support the UPnP function. Please check user's manual of router and turn on the UPnP function.

If a firewall exists on the network, port 80 is open for ordinary data communication. The HTTP port, RTSP port and TCP ports need to be opened on the firewall or NAT router. By default, the HTTP port is 80, the RTSP port is 554, and the TCP ports are 9060 and 9061.

Please follow the steps below.
1. Restore the factory default setting by pressing and holding down over 8 seconds on the camera Reset button.
2. Reconfigure the device by search program or web management.
3. The default username and password is admin/admin.

Go to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and check to see if there is an entry for the file "Web Watch2 Control". The status column should show "Installed". If the file is not listed, make sure your Security Settings in Internet Explorer are configured properly and then try reloading the device’s home page. Most likely, the ActiveX control did not download and install correctly. Check your Internet Explorer security settings and then close and restart Internet Explorer. Try to browse and log in again.

Due to every IP camera will provide different image to NVR and also request different bandwidth. So, when the IP cameras connected, you can check the IP camera connection status in NVR web page to adjust the IP camera configuration. The maximum aggregated bandwidth for NVR-420 is 40Mbps (including incoming/outgoing bandwidth). When the bandwidth is over 40Mbps, recording frame rate will be reduced. When this situation happened, you may configure the connected IP camera settings on NVR to reduce the system loading.

Maybe too many IP cameras have been installed on the LAN, and then the NAT router is out of resource to support more cameras. You could turn off and on the NAT router to clear the out-of-date information inside the router.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Download the search tool: IP Finder II.

  2. Install and open the IP Finder II to search the camera.
  3. Select the camera and click the "Restore Factory" button to restore all settings to the factory default setting. By default setting, the username and password are both "admin".
