PLANET’s Sustainable Development Committee, a functional committee of the Board of Directors, is the company's top unit in charge of its sustainable development issues. The committee has five members, including four independent directors. The Committee sets the sustainability plans and goals of the Company after considering the global ESG topics, material issues for stakeholders and industrial development trends.
The Company takes a strategic, long-term approach to regularly review the accomplishment of goals and its performance. The Committee reports to the Board of Directors on the Company’s practices and performance of corporate sustainable development at least twice a year, with the aim to comprehensively optimizing its ESG policy and implementation performance.
At the operational level, PLANET has a “Sustainability Team”, a cross-functional work group led by the Chief Sustainability Officer to implement sustainable policies and objectives, formulates sustainable development strategies and plans and executes these plans. On the other hand, the “Sustainability Office” is responsible for promoting the practices of sustainable plans and compile the results and performance in PLANET’s sustainability annual report. PLANET Sustainability Team reports to the Sustainable Development Committee of the Board at least twice a year on the implementation of the Company’s sustainable development plans and performance.
