PLANET Technology Corporation, one of the global leading IP-based companies, announced that it has successfully obtained Certification for Establishing Conformance of Telecommunication Equipment from Competence Center for the Infocom Networks (CCIN) accredited by the Russian Federal Communication Agency. Specifically, PLANET is the first Taiwan-based networking company to achieve the official recognition for the excellent quality of the telecommunication equipments from CCIN in Russia.

Through the rigorous examination containing the evaluating and measuring environmental, safety, and quality standards of telecommunication equipments, PLANET has achieved the above certification in August 2006 from CCIN, a certification body approved by the Russian Federal Communication Agency. In total, PLANET has been officially issued 8 certificates including the following product categories:
1. Switches (with modules)
2. Media Converters
3. Wi-Fi and all other equipment with built-in Wi-Fi
4. Routers (all that has functions of the router)
5. VoIP (all completely, including the combined devices without Wi-Fi)
6. VDSL
7. xDSL (SHDSL and ADSL) the Combined devices with Wi-Fi in the certificate
The autonomous nonprofit organization "Competence Center for the Infocom Networks" (CCIN) is accredited by the Russian Federal Communication Agency as a certification body for telecommunication equipment (accreditation certificate No. OS-03 from 02.02.2006, accreditation area).
CCIN conducts work on obligatory certification in accordance with the"Rules for organization and realization of the obligatory confirmation for establishing conformance of telecommunication equipment" (approved by the Russian Federation Government Resolution ?214 from 13.04.2005) for the following telecommunication equipment:
1. Call-center equipment;
2. switching and routing equipment
3. synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) transmission system;
4. systems for channel, tract of the analog systems and physical line transmission;
5. sender/receiver devices for fiber-optic and atmospheric optical lines;
6. equipment for asynchronous transfer mode (ATM);
7. equipment for automated control system and network monitoring;
8. billing systems;
9. radio equipment with exception of such with access in technological or fixed networks without an output on PSTN.
